Domain of interests and research area:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Virtual Reality
  • Digital Signal Processing with help of intelligent algorithms (fuzzy systems, neural networks, genetics algorithms, statistical processing)
  • Techniques of programming
  • Intelligent systems controlled by microcontrolers (I am familiar with 80C51 and 80C552 from Intel's family, PIC 16F84 - Microchip and S3C7238 from Samsung) and DSP (TMS320C6711, TMS320F240 and TMS320C542)

Work project:

The main objective of the research is to develop a non-contact VR system sensitive to physiological signals obtained from users (respiration, tremor and skin temperature) and other type of signals (body torso and eye movements) considered to be correlated with the state of the users.

Research projects
granted to me:

  • IEEE NNS Walter Karplus Summer Research Grant 2003 from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (2003 Summer Research Grant Recipients)
