Title of the Ph.D. thesis:
Contributions to the Cognitive Neurophysiology based on EEG Signal Processing (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ing. Dimitrie Alexa)

Work project:

PhD curricula:

The main objectives of this research are: 1) to identify any task-specific patterns of brain areas interrelation - necessary and valuable a priori information for the acquisition and processing phases of any EEG application (eg. the appropriate selection of EEG electrodes position, the selection of the features to be extracted etc.) -, 2) to understand the EEG signal, 3) to extract its characteristic features, deeply related to particular brain functions and 4) to model the EEG activity, specifically reflecting these functions.
Domains of applications: human-computer interface (HCI), clinical applications.
