In memoriam

Since the foundation of the Chair for Electronics eventually transformed in the Faculty for Electronics and Telecommunications, we have lost some of the people who have tremendously contributed to the Faculty:

Professor Laurentiu TURIC, the Chief of the former Departament of Electronics, died 1999.

Professor Turic has created and developed the modern school of electronic circuits in Iasi. He has been a brilliant teacher and has authored books that are still among the best in the country in their fields. Professor Turic has been loved by his students for his talent in delivering the classes and his devotion to the profession.

Professor Vianor BOICIU (1940 - 1985).

Professor Boiciu has been the first to give a regular class on Electronics for medicine in our University. He was considered a very gifted professor by all his colleagues and students. His unexpected death shoked all those who met him.

Professor Constantin ONU (1912 - 1999)

Professor Constantin POSA, died 2000.

Professor Posa has been a valuable teacher, and a remarcable inventor. He was a world specialist in electro-acoustic systems and audio equipments.

Technician Corneliu PALAGHIU, died 1984.

Corneliu Palaghiu worked for the department of Electronics. He was a excellent employee, with talent and initiative. We still use some of the tools designed and realized by him.
